Breast Uplift (Mastopexy)

A breast uplift is an operation to rejuvenate your breasts by removing excess skin, remodelling the breast tissue internally and lifting the nipples. The aim of a breast uplift is to change the shape of the breasts without significantly reducing their volume.

Reasons that women have breast uplifts include:

  • They feel that their breasts are too droopy following pregnancy or weight loss.
  • To reduce the size of the areola (the dark skin around the nipple).
  •  In combination with an implant to lift and enlarge breasts.
  • To provide symmetry to your breasts if they are asymmetrical or following reconstruction surgery to the other breast.
